Last December, I received a prophetic word from PE saying, “It is spotlight season for you. You will not be an unsung hero, and God sees all you do in the background (behind the scenes).” Although this wasn’t the first time I had received a spotlight word, this time felt different.
After we entered the new year, and PU had led us through all four wind activation prayers, I asked God, “What’s next?” He laid it on my heart to pray the four winds activation prayers every day for one week. Interestingly, that same week coincided with WOFBEC, so I joined the sessions online and committed to praying every night without fail. I also prayed the earth prayer once during that week, but the instruction was specific—focus on the winds.
Let me take a moment to go back a bit. Earlier in the previous year, I had been consistently confessing a revelation I had received from the Lord: – “I will be the first Post Production Supervisor out of Nigeria to be recognized globally.” I declared it everywhere and to anyone who cared to listen. It was also one of the prayer points I wrote down when PU asked us to list what we were trusting God for, one of mine was clear: “Lord, give me global awareness in my career.”
I completed my prayers on Sunday night and resumed work on Monday, January 13th. Just a few minutes after our staff update meeting, a colleague reached out and said she wanted to “set me up.” I laughed and replied jokingly, “I don’t mind—so long as the setup involves money!” She went on to explain that they were looking for someone in my role to speak about the behind-the-scenes work we do—work that often goes unnoticed and unappreciated.
At the time, I had no idea how big the event actually was, but without hesitation, I said yes. After all, I’d spent the entire previous week preparing—both spiritually and physically. She passed my contact information to the organizers, and by the next day, someone had already reached out. That’s when it hit me just how massive this opportunity was. Is this how the Four Winds Activation works? Wow! just one week of prayer, and such an incredible result!
I called my uncle to explain what was happening, and he told me he had read an article that morning. From what I shared, he believed God had led him to that article so he could pass it on to me. The article was about D’Janae Robinson, who spoke at one conference and, as a result, received 56 more speaking invitations. That testimony ignited my faith even more!
Everything was happening so fast, I could hardly process it. I found myself saying, “This is the hand of God and the operation of the Spirit behind the winds!” Even if I had tried to lobby or position myself for this opportunity, I wouldn’t have made it happen. This was all God!
I will be speaking on the same platform as my boss, which, I won’t lie, is a little intimidating, but if God has opened this door, then I’ll confidently and audaciously walk through it into the spotlight. After all, I asked for global awareness and this is only the beginning! God, thank You! 🙏
