Miracles

We did the New Moon Prayer Activation on December 30th. I remember I wasn’t home at the time. I had even picked up soil near my home and carried out the activation in a different state, then returned the soil to the earth near my home when I got back. It felt crazy, honestly! That day, it was drizzling ice and very windy, but I still stood outside and completed the activation. My family wondered why I was picking up sand in a cup and randomly leaving them at a restaurant to go outside. I’m sure people thought I was talking to myself!
That night, I planted a number of things, one of which was the acceleration of my EAD. I had previously told God I wanted it in record time but it had been stalling based on the timing I had declared. I had submitted the application on the 17th of December and had heard nothing back on next steps. The day after completing the activation, I logged in and saw that my biometrics had been scheduled for January 17th. I wasn’t satisfied with that date so I rescheduled it for the 2nd of January instead. Amazingly, between completing my biometrics and the drive home, I received an update that my case was actively being reviewed!
On January 3rd, I was at Target late in the evening when I received another case progress notification.. I logged in and saw that a notice dated January 4th had been issued, approving my EAD. I saw it a day earlier than expected! I immediately broke into thanksgiving and danced right in the middle of the shopping aisle. Then, for three days, there was silence. Every day, I sent the winds to accelerate my card. Finally, on January 9th, I was notified that my card had been produced. I reached out to USCIS daily, using my recent address change as an excuse to check on my card’s shipment status. Even though I knew it hadn’t been shipped yet, I remained persistently, but pleasantly, in their face so they would escalate it internally and release my card.

On the 13th of January, my card was shipped. I knew because an agent had given me a tracking number on the 11th of January. The agent had mentioned, “You’ve been told previously that it will take 30 days,” to which I responded, “I’m just really concerned because I’ve just moved.” A few seconds later, she provided me with the tracking number. Throughout this process, two days felt like weeks. I wanted daily results, and I refused to back down from my goal. I felt that if I let up or got complacent, it would stall. I kept telling the winds, “Well done, but there’s more. Let’s get it over the line.” It felt like teamwork.

On the 15th of January, I received my EAD. In case you’re wondering if this is the usual timeline, let me break it down. My EAD was approved in 17 days—or less, if you exclude the holidays. Lawyers had told me it would take at least three and a half months. I distinctly remember a representative from the law firm saying there was no way I’d receive my EAD by January. A close confidant advised me to erase that comment from my mind. Even the USCIS online system estimated a 3-month wait.

I chose to believe the report of the Lord. To strengthen my faith, God gave me imagery, especially since the lawyers’ words were so loud in my mind. I had an unexpected encounter with a covenant sister, and her approval timeline was 44 days. That was something my mind could work with! I told God to bring my approval in half the time—and He exceeded that! I received my approval in just 17 days, and from the time I applied to when I held my card in hand, it was a total of 29 days.

It’s funny to think that if I had waited for USCIS without actively partnering with God, I would have just done my biometrics yesterday, January 17th, and still be waiting for approval today. Instead, I’ve had my card in hand since January 15th.

For those unfamiliar with U.S. immigration, the EAD allows you to work for virtually any employer, unlike a work permit, which restricts you to one employer. It symbolizes greater access to the opportunities around you and the removal of limitations. I believe the new moon and wind activations set the stage for a kairos moment—a moment to take decisive action. Wind Warriors, another new moon is fast approaching. Are you ready? If not, get ready!
