Last week, I shared how I became a MozFest Wrangler. Well, buckle up, because the story didn’t end there!
Last Tuesday, they asked for volunteers to help lead an online networking session a day before MozFest kicked off. Of course, I threw my hat in the ring alongside a few others, and we were scheduled to meet that Thursday evening.
Now, picture this: I’m stuck in infamous traffic, praying for my network to cooperate. Ten minutes in, I was ready to send a “Sorry, network failed me” text. But then, I whispered a desperate little prayer to Holy Spirit, and BOOM — the network worked!
When I joined the call, I was all set to apologize for being late only to realize no one else had shown up! It was just me and the MozFest team. Suddenly, I found myself in a one-on-one planning session for the networking event! Before I knew it, I was crafting a whole script, and then — Bam! They asked me to be the anchor for the online session!
But wait, it gets better. Apparently, I left such a great impression that they later came back and asked me to be the official ‘Master of Ceremonies’ for the Mozilla Foundation Festival itself! The pay for this role is in a different league than the Wrangler gig!

Part 2: The plot twist in this film directed by the Holy Spirit 🎬✨
The SUSI fellowship that took me to the U.S. last year hosted a conference in January for alumni from the past four years. They had to narrow it down to about 80 to 100 participants out of 500… and guess who got in? Drumroll… I did! 🎉 It was fully sponsored too! I flew out to Prague this January ✈️
