Testimony by Kishi Wuraola Fadeko-Olayiwola
I have been meaning to share this testimony for a while because of how faithful God has been.
Around April–May 2025, I was facing one of the most consequential decisions of my life: marriage.
My partner and I had met in August 2024 and had begun dating. Although I loved him deeply and could see many green flags, I was terrified of making a mistake. Marriage was too important to me to enter blindly. I knew what God had spoken concerning my marriage over the years, and I wanted to be absolutely certain that I was making the right decision.
To add to this, I had experienced rejection and disappointment earlier in 2024 before meeting my now husband. Those experiences left scars that made it difficult for me to move forward confidently, even though I was in a healthy relationship.
By 2025, my partner had already begun hinting strongly at marriage and had even proposed in 2024. Yet I remained fearful and frequently expressed my doubts and concerns to him.
Then came Fire Night.
On that Friday, I met Eky. I did not give her the full details of what I was going through. I simply shared that I was facing some important decisions and had been struggling with them.
As she prayed and prophesied, she began speaking directly into what was on my heart.
She told me that God was with me in that space and that I would know the right decision to make. She said I did not need to doubt because I would receive clarity and understanding concerning the intentions of the person involved.
She never specifically mentioned marriage or a husband, but I immediately knew that God was answering the questions I had been carrying concerning my relationship.
She prayed over my heart and said something I have never forgotten:
“It will be quick, and God will honor His word in your obedience.”
One month later, I was married.
That prophetic word was much longer than I can fully recount here, but I can confidently say that I have watched it begin to unfold piece by piece before my eyes.
Since then, God has continued to exceed my expectations.
My husband and I started a business together in August 2025, and this year we received the Tony Elumelu Foundation Business Grant before we had even officially launched.
God has been incredibly faithful.
Perhaps one of the greatest testimonies of all is my marriage itself.
If I had known marriage would be this beautiful, I would have worried a lot less.
I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every single day of being married. That is not an exaggeration.
It is beautiful because I am doing life with the right person for me.
Even on difficult days, it never feels like we are fighting each other. Instead, it is always us standing together against the challenge. For me, that is a miracle in itself because patience has never been one of my strongest qualities.
God met me in my fear, gave me clarity, and honored His word through obedience. And beyond my marriage itself, I’ve been blessed by Fire Night severally, it’s become one of God’s prophetic portal for me.
I am grateful for the prophetic ministry at Fire Night, grateful for Eky’s obedience to God, and most importantly grateful for the faithfulness of God.
And if for no other reason at all, I am a living testament that God is indeed in this ministry and every single day we meet for Fire Night, God honors your obedience and Fire Night especially is an extension of God’s love to me.
